Kakadu Forest

The Forests of Kakadu are particularly interesting because of the habitat created by the Escarpment and some of the tree species. In particular the tree Anbinik (Allosyncarpia ternata) is a species found only in the Escarpment area and is thought to be a relic species from when Australia was part of Gondwana.
